Summary: Unusual scientific evidence is presented of the British visiting the northeast United States long before Columbus. A variety of comparisons of sites in the U.S. and the British Isles are made primarily with archaeological and astronomical features. The evidence is the result of 2 separate research efforts occurring over long periods of time. Measurements made by Brannan and Robinson cover 43 years of professional surveying in the New York-New England area. Research conducted by Winkler and Stone was supported in part by America's Stonehenge and a sabbatical by the Pennsylvania State University. The studies overlap in geographic area and support one another.
