The basic theme of this journal "Migration & Diffusion - an international journal" are migration and cultural contacts covering the time range from human origin to the discovery of America by Columbus. The journal will present and serve internationally as a multidisciplinary basis for the latest stage of scientific knowledge of Migration and Diffusion of Culture.

The journal appears quaterly (i.e. four issues a year). The scientific responsibility for the published article lays at the author. The journal is published and edited by myself; I cover both the duties of scientific directorship and article selection. Submission and publication are free. . You can order "Migration & Diffusion - an international journal" separately (Euro 40,-; US-Dollar 40,-) or as a one year subscription (Euro 150,-; US-Dollar 150,-). Please contact christine.pellech@chello.at for further information. It is stressed that only articles with rational, scientific presentation of the theme elaborated will be accepted, no polemic or depreciative articles will be taken in consideration for publishing. Should authors have published differing views on a theme in the journal the publisher would be glad to publish a subsequent agreement but not any discussions.

The journal will include contributions from any discipline contributing to the journal's thematic range "migration and diffusion of culture" which provides access to cross-cultural interdisciplinary research i.e. ethnology, archaeology, history, geography, linguistics, anthropology, arts subject, human- and social- as also formal- and natural-sciences, medical branches including molecular genetics (DNS-analysis), religious sciences, architecture with special emphasis on navel architecture and seafaring, as long as all scientific results, reflect the sphere of migration and diffusion of culture.

Some concluding remarks on myself: I was born in Vienna, Austria in 1947 where I finished my studies in ethnology and arts science (Doctoral degree in 1974). For more than 20 years I proceeded with my work on migration and diffusion of culture and have written three books on this subject.
